Why the answer depends on the exact vehicle
"Parking assist" means different things to different people. Some buyers mean a backup camera. Some mean sensors that beep near a bumper. Some mean a system that helps steer into a spot.
Those are separate features. Two Equinox models with the same badge can be equipped differently. So the trim name alone doesn't settle it.
The window sticker does. That's the sheet I'd pull before saying yes or no on any 2027 RS.
How to confirm it before you drive over
- Decide which feature you actually need: camera, sensors, or both.
- Get the stock number or VIN of the RS you're looking at.

That saves you a trip down Route 22 for a car that's missing the one thing you care about.
Used Equinox models I have now
I'm starting with used, because that's where you can see the actual car today. All of these are at Open Road Chevrolet in Union. None of them is an RS, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

"Ask me" means I haven't confirmed it on that car yet. I'd rather check than mark it yes.
If a backup camera is the priority
Look at L7987 and L7981 first. Both are 2026 Equinox LTs with a rear view camera confirmed. Both also have blind spot monitor and forward collision warning.
For parking sensors on these two, I'll walk out and check. Text me the stock number and I'll get back to you.
If you also want AWD
L7844 and L7777 are 2026 LTs with 4WD/AWD and a power liftgate. I'd need to confirm the camera on those before I'd promise it.
If you want the simplest option
8289A is a 2017 Equinox LS with 4WD/AWD and cruise control. It's a different kind of car from the 2026 models. If parking tech matters to you, this one needs a close look first.
What the 2026 LTs share
Every 2026 LT on this list has these:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Heated steering wheel
- Remote start
- Keyless entry and keyless ignition
- Blind spot monitor
- Forward collision warning
- Emergency brake assist
- Navigation and Wi-Fi hotspot
So the real differences come down to camera, AWD and liftgate. That's what the table is for.

Does every Equinox have a backup camera?
I won't make a blanket statement. I can confirm it on L7987 and L7981. For any other car, give me the stock number and I'll check.
Is blind spot monitor the same as parking assist?
No. Blind spot monitor watches the lanes beside you while driving. Parking assist is about the low-speed space around the bumpers.
Can you check a 2027 RS I found somewhere else?
